A sensitive item was not detected

Defend does not guarantee detection of all sensitive information. If you notice an unprotected item, stop the send and follow your organization’s policy.

Steps

  1. Do not confirm sending the original content.
  2. Check the protection state and whether your organization’s rules cover the category.
  3. Prepare a description of the issue using entirely fictional data.
  4. Ask your administrator to review coverage and validate any change with positive and negative tests.

If it was already sent

Follow your organization’s information incident procedure. This help site cannot recall content already delivered to a third party or guarantee deletion. Do not copy affected content here or into support channels.
