What Defend does and what you need

Defend helps you review and protect sensitive information when using ChatGPT. Protection depends on the extension, your session and the rules available to your organization. It does not replace your own review or your organization’s AI policy.

Before you start

  • Use Chrome on a computer where your organization allows extensions.
  • Have a Defend account and access to ChatGPT. These are separate sessions.
  • Ask your administrator which information you may use and which extension version to install.

Expected result

You can open the extension and identify the protection state of the current tab. An installed extension alone does not confirm active protection.
