The extension is disconnected

A disconnected state or connection error can prevent protection from being verified. Do not assume an old session is still valid.

Steps

1. Check your computer’s connection and open the Defend popup.
2. If access is requested, sign in to Defend.
3. Return to ChatGPT and reload the tab if the notice asks you to.
4. Open the popup again and wait for the check to finish.

If the problem continues

Tell your administrator the extension version and displayed state. Do not send screenshots containing accounts or conversations. Do not change proxies, certificates or device policies to bypass the error. Avoid sensitive content until active protection is confirmed.
